What would you say about Su/ASC = Kr= Po- Ne/Ha. Also Solar Arc Su/ASC = n. Ma/ZE= n.Sa=Solar Arc Ma/Ze? Planetary pictures is grim, very grim indeed!

Hi everyone... I hope this is what you had in mind for "Ask Urania"...

My sun in Cancer is in the seventh house with Gemini on the cusp and a Sagittarius ascendant with Saturn conjunct the ascendant... I have had quite a few rough years and am frequently desperate... It's tiresome...

Currently transiting Pluto has been conjunct both my natal ascendant and my natal Saturn concurrently with transiting Saturn... about to conjunct my natal Pluto which is at 0 degrees Virgo still in my solar second house.... during the eclipse period at the end of August.. My natal mercury and natal uranus are also in my solar second house in Leo...

What kind of hell am I in for?

Any ideas how to channel this child. Birth details 28/10/98 13.38 Glastonbury England. Her temper is ballistic, she will not be cajoled or comforted and deliberately hurts herself. The slightest things set her off. She has been like this since a small child, needless to say she has few friends.  She talks at top speed and
gets louder until she's practically shouting. Mercury is conj Pluto at the MC with a Capricorn ascendant. Sun conj Venus with Mercury all in Scorpio. 8th house Mars in Virgo sq Pluto. There is just so much Martian influence, (Mars being the esoteric ruler of Scorpio) in a very intellegent child. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does anyone know where I can find information about comet histories and recent sightings?  I saw a comet decent and enter the atmosphere around June 21st off the west coast of Vancouver Island and was curious if this event might have been documented by somebody else.

Hello,

I am new to this site and really enjoy it. I have been studying astrology on my own for years. Here's my question:

I don't understand why I have really bad anxiety attacks when I go to look for a job. I keep getting fired over and over again. I'm a good worker, I don't steal, and I don't bother anyone. My only real problem is that I miss one to two days of work a month, due to anxiety turning into psychosomatic illnesses. My husband lets me stay home, and I don't have to pay any bills. I do attend school full-time, but I don't even know why I'm doing that anymore.

Could my anxiety be worse because of the crazy Uranus stuff I've got going on? I have Uranus conjunct Chiron and my Ascendant. It's opposing my Virgo descendant, natal Uranus and soon will be opposing Pluto. It is also opposing natal Uranus.

Other crazy chart stuff is going on. Venus is conjuncting natal Saturn in Aquarius (which is in the 12th house). Saturn is squaring natal Venus. Mars is squaring natal Pluto. Chiron is squaring Venus.

I don't even want to get out of bed. I'm on two different antidepressants already. I'm starting counseling in a couple of weeks. What I want to know, how can I find strengths in my chart to get myself out of this slump? I'm absolutely miserable because I have almost no money, live in a shack, and I'm not self-sufficient. I'm ashamed of myself for staying in a marriage simply because I can't take care of myself.

Do I need to state my birth info? 10-16-63 Dallas TX 3:41 pm.

I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions.

First I tell you I'm very happy to be a new member of Urania. Please be cool with my English because I am French !
My question is : having made an astro software, I need a good database to compute stats. I tried with F. Gauquelin's but the data are too old and error prone (thank to Ray Murphy, my CHI² are quite impressive !).
Where can I find one in Excel or text format, containing at least 1000 items ?

Does Venus in Scorpio mean I'm doomed to a lonely, solitary life?  
I read somewhere that Scorpios with this awful Venus placement actually "want" to be rejected.  How horrifying.  The writer was referring only to romantic relationships in the context; but it makes me wonder about other relationships, as well.  What about family love, friends, etc.?

Happy New Year, All!

During my break I was sorting through my books (will be selling many on Ebay soon) and picked up Chinese Astrology by Derek Walters (Wellingborough, Northamptonshire: The Aquarian Press, 1987).

When I purchased it, Walters' was the only book I could find that had any depth of technique and a  history of the subject.  

I'm curious about two things. 1) Has anyone read this and do you have suggestions for any good scholarship on the subject.
2) Walters translates the Astrological Treatise of Ssu Ma Ch'ien, who he dates 163-85 BC.  Is this dating of his life accurate?

I am trying to figure out from a book, just "what" the observer's meridian is.  Say, if I am standing on the ground facing north where does this imaginary line go from and to?  The official defintion is that it goes "through" the celestial poles and the zenith and nadir.  I am having a hard time conceptualizing this.  Thanks

Little girl with Moon in 12th conjunct her Asc ( none / 0 ) (#20)

A chart I have has Moon in Gemini in the 12th house 6 degrees from her Asc.  

(birth data Nov 6, 1998; 7:34 pm; Toronto, Canada)

The moon in the 12th would seem to me that her emotions would tend to be repressed and hidden but conjunct her Ascendent would make them out in the open ???  How do you resolve that kind of conflict in a reading environment?  Do the 2 situations simply weaken each other but remain valid?

I have a Yod in my chart and I'm struggling as an amateur Astrologer to understand it.

my birth data is Aug 10, 1967 at 6pm in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada (084W20'00",46N07'56*)

Venus is in Virgo in my 8th house sextile Mars in Scorpio in my 10th house inconjunct Saturn in Aries in my 3rd house inconjunct Venus

Any insights or thoughts would be much appreciated.

Hi John,
I am enthralled by the erudite content here at Urania, but haven't found just the right angle on orienting its many compelling contributions.  All the action in and around the diary section complements the main articles beautifully.  This said, I would like to be able to view all the postings chronologically or in some sort of master index that is a bit more condensed.  

Is this sort of thing an option?
