Quiet interesting to note Mars/Venus conjuction.Please through some light on what kind of conjuction.Just mere venus/Mars association?.I will try to cast horoscope for the above dates and see the truth.I wish you good luck for exploring the truth in Astrology fot the benefit of astrology.

Heliocentric VE-MA in some assassinations ( none / 0 ) (#9)

Ray mentions the Mars at 1 Virgo for the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand which set off the First World War, but what has always fascinated me about that event was the heliocentric conjunction of Venus and Mars respectively at 1lb55 and 1lb51 (28 June 1914, Sarajevo, the fatal revolver shots fired at UT 9:34 according to police reports).

That conjunction in the 2nd degree of Libra is exactly sesquiquadrate Adolf Hitler's Venus-Mars conjunction in the 17th degree of Taurus (geocentric). Since noticing that connection, I have wondered if helio-geo aspects were involved whenever a mundane event fortuitously propelled an individual into a position of historical importance - we know that without the profound social dislocation of Germany and central Europe occasioned by the Great War, Hitler would have remained an obscure handyman.

For what it's worth, I have just found two other VE-MA heliocentric aspects among the violent political deaths in my files:

The death of Nero - rather messy, a sort of assisted suicide - 9 June 68 at Phaon's villa northeast of Rome, 41n56 12e31, astronomical Noon chosen arbitrarily. Heliocentric Venus and Mars at 28sg24 and 27ps09.

The death of Julian ("the Apostate") on campaign in Phrygia - rather mysterious: historians cannot decide if he was murdered by Christian extremists or killed honourably by a detachment of Persian cavalry - 26 June 363 around UT 4:00, approximately 34n07 43e57. Heliocentric Venus and Mars at 5le34 and 4aq49.

Incidentally, in view of the fact that eclipses are supposed to have occurred at the deaths of various heroic and divine figures - including Jesus - and that astronomers have a hard time finding most of them, it is interesting that an eclipse really did happen the day after the death of Julian, the last Roman emperor faithful to the old religions. It is not mentioned, however - in fact it was not visible in Europe or the Middle East.

Ray writes about having forecast a time when an assassination was probable, and having it turn out to be something related but not quite so deadly, the failed military coup of August 1991 in Russia (which effectively "assassinated" Gorbachev as a relevant figure).

Things can go the other way. In the Spring of 1959 the Celanese (or Sri Lankan as we would say) astrologer C.D.F. Abayakoon predicted that Ceylon's prime minister, R.D. Bandaranaike, would be "removed from office" by October. He would not be assassinated, however, because "we do not have assassinations in Ceylon." Unfortunately, Bandaranaike was shot on 25 September 1959 around 4:00 UT and died the next day at 2:30 UT.

R.D. Bandaranaike, 8 January 1899 UT 3:18, Colombo, 6n55 79e52. He was succeeded by his wife Sirimavo Bandaranaike, 17 April 1916 IST 15:40, Balangoda, Ceylon, 6n38 80e41. Note the two different time zones used here.

I've been looking at Israel's chart this evening:
14 May 1948, 4:38PM, Tel Aviv, Israel. (I'm using the time that Ben-Gurion announced "Israel has been born!" according to Axel Harvey according to Ken Gillman according to someone named Chester Kemp who listened to Ben-Gurion's speech on the radio and apparently looked at his watch.)

Anyway, at that time the Ascendant is 1 degree of Scorpio square VE/MA and, on the 22.5 degree dial, equal to the Sun. It all equals transiting Pluto.

Since you associate VE/MA combinations with assassinations, what do you think?
