Conrad Black entered prison today to serve his 6 and 1/2 year sentence. He "arrived just before noon Monday at Florida's Coleman Federal Correction Complex" according to press reports. Transiting MC in Coleman( 28N48, 82W04) opposed his natal AS -0- SU -0- JU complex between 11:48 and 12:14 EST.

The primary transit of the day was of course t. SUN -90- n. URANUS.

SU=UR : "a sudden adjustment to new conditions or circumstances in life(found repeatedly in cases of military call-up and of imprisonment)"

Transiting AS/MC in Coleman exactly semisquared natal URANUS at 12:08 EST.

My last comment on Black pointed out how bleak was his prospects to remain free while he appeals his conviction. Here is a look at the developments since that comment.

The lawyers for Black managed to delay the sentencing originally scheduled for November 30. And the Judge rescheduled it to December 10 when transiting Mars reached natal Saturn!

When the sentencing procedure started at 10:00 CST, transiting MOON,JUPITER and PLUTO occupied the 29th degree of Sagittarius squaring natal MARS and semisquaring natal MOON. The judge sentenced Black to 6 years and 6 months in prison, denied bail and ordered him to report to prison on or before March 3.

Black's attempt to remain free while he appeals his conviction failed on January 31 when the sentencing judge ruled against him. Transiting Mars stationed semisquaring natal PLUTO=SA/UR. The federal appeals court also ruled against him on February 28 just before transiting MARS separated from a conjunction with natal SA/UR.
