Definitive answers on birth times in 20th century
|

This is probably the first time that some definitive answers have been published in relation to the accuracy of birth times given to
astrologers.
I've just processed well over 1/4 million charts, mostly from Europe, and found that the people have been recording birth times with increasing precision during the last few decades. It seems that most births are now being recorded at 1 minute and 5 minute intervals, and with much less bias towards reporting birth times on the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 or full hour.

What is "core" Astrology?
|
|

Tropical astrology is practised in many ways, and it seems that there are as many versions as there are astrologers. I suppose that's normal for an "art" but what do the vast majority of us have in common?
What do we all "believe in" or know is valuable?
Let's hear from everyone on this Urania site. We've got 86 members here at the moment, and most are not posting very much, and I know you could not all have broken fingers, preventing you from typing - so please contribute something :-)

Technique - Howto
|
|
By Axel Harvey, Section Technique Posted on Mon Apr 22nd, 2002 at 00:16:28 EDT

There are many ways of looking at the geometry and motion of the sky
for astrological purposes. This is where you can propose new ones,
revive forgotten ones, and criticize or confirm those that are in
current use. Topics will range from house division to direction arcs
to rectification to planetary periods. Detailed examples from real life are always
helpful when a method is being described, but here the purpose of
examples is to provide readers with a "howto" rather than to explain
the whys and wherefores of someone's life.
Do check and double-check your arithmetic. Put yourself in the shoes
of a student trying to follow your reasoning. Have a
heart.
