We could all kick ourselves sometimes for not thinking of some simple idea or invention which as staring us in the face.
Well this is one of them:
A thread on the Urania site for reporting unusual coincidences observed while doing astrology.

The neat thing about this thread is we don't have to embarrass ourselves by putting forward some "astrological claim" which doesn't hold water - but merely place on the public record some unusual observations which may tie-in with others' observations.

This listing of interesting (or sometimes astonishing) coincidences is well overdue in astrology because collectively we have made millions of one-off observations which are nearly all lost to research.

I suppose many of these isolated observations are actually part of known astrology - but many others are part of astrology which is yet to be discovered.
Some would also be a part of unpublished astrological hypotheses.

So what are some of the numerous things that you have noticed along the way - that might tie in with astrology?

Here's a few of my own observations to start off with:

  1. Two women married to the same man with their Mars 101 degrees from the man's Mars (which was apparently meaningless), and then the third marriage partner having Mars at 79 degrees from the man's Mars - thus making a total of 180 degrees -- (101 + 79).
  2. Two women married to the same man with a planet equi-distant from one of his planets or points (in different directions).
  3. The beginning of a relationship later in life (resulting in marriage) where Heliocentric Uranus was conjunct Venus exactly.
  4. Childen born on the same day of the year to the same parents.
  5. Boys having very similar characteristics to a grandfather, and following his career path AND with an ideal horoscope and personality to match.
  6. Everyone in a family having a planet (including the North Node in one instance) culminating at the same time.
  7. The two biggest earthquakes in the US having "mirror images (more or less) when the charts were placed back to back (and rotated 15 degrees) and held up to the light.
  8. A woman astrologer having Progressed MC exactly inconjunct Moon for her father's death and exactly inconjunct Sun for her mother's death and also an almost exact interchange of Saturn and Uranus. (Exact for timing in this case means (+/- 6 days) or 1 minute of arc).
  9. The Australian army conscripted my father for service with MA on his MC and released him from service 6 years later also with MA con MC. (Astrologer, Axel Harvey has seen the document in the form of a jpeg).
  10. Babies born when the combined ages of the parents is exactly x number of years (such as 50.0000173 years or 47.9999124 years.
I've got heaps more but that's enough for today :-)>

Just a few to start ( none / 0 ) (#3)

My current fiancee/soulmate (of almost 5 yrs) and I:
5 and 4 planet stelliums from 24 Virgo to 20 Libra, including her Virgoan Pluto/Libra Sun  my Libran/Pluto Virgan Sun.

Her Moon conjunct my IC (-0:30') and my Moon conjunct her IC (-2:35') (but both technically in the third).

Her brother has the same birthday as I do -- one year later.

Her brother and her both have Mars-Pluto conjunctions.

My closest male friend's youngest daughter was born the exact same day and year as my younger sister's youngest daughter.
*******

My father was born the day before (same year) as (evolutionary astrologer) Jeffrey Wolfe Green, with whom I share an ascendant (within one degree, maybe two).

My ex-wife and I had ascendants a degree apart.

Two of my closest (married) friends have an ascendant under 3 degrees apart.

My younger sister (the same mentioned above) has her sun a degree post my moon and her Ascendant is within a degree of mine.

My ex-wife's mother and my mother have birthdays two days apart -- and we got married the day between them (but neither was at the ceremony).

more later...

OK, here are some of my observations:

  • I have Saturn conjunct the ascendant, both in Libra.
  • My mother has Capricorn rising, with Saturn in Libra.

  • I have Pluto in the 1st in Libra.
  • My father has Pluto in the 1st in Leo.

  • I have my moon in Leo and sun in Cancer in mutual reception.
  • My mother has sun in Aries, and moon in Taurus; with Venus in Aries conjunct her sun, and Mars in Taurus conjunct her moon, in mutual reception.

  • My father has Mercury in Virgo; my mother has Mercury in Pisces, ruled by Neptune in Libra conjunct Saturn in Libra.
  • I have Mercury in Gemini (in its own domain, like my father's Mercury), opposition Neptune in Sagittarius, which is ruled by Jupiter in Libra conjunct Saturn in Libra.

  • I have Mars opposition Neptune with a 3 degree 0' orb.
  • My mother has Mars quincunx Neptune with a 2 degree 59' orb.
  • My father has Mars quincunx Neptune with about a 3 degree 42' orb (don't know his exact birth time, but he has either late Cancer or early Leo rising).

  • My mother has Mars square Pluto with a 1 degree 30' orb.
  • Her mother (my grandmother) has Mars quintile Pluto with a 1 degree 47' orb (using a noon chart - I don't have her birth time).
  • I have Mars trine Pluto with a 1 degree 33' orb.

  • My mother has Saturn conjunct Neptune in Libra with a 1 degree 13' orb.
  • Her mother has Saturn conjunct Neptune in Leo with about a 3 degree 45' orb.

  • My mother has Sun opp. Saturn+Neptune with a 2-4 degree orb.
  • Her mother has Sun squ. Saturn+Neptune with a 1-5 degree orb. The sun/Saturn aspects of both are closer to exact than their sun/Neptune aspects.

  • My mother has Uranus opposition Chiron with a 6 degree 15' orb.
  • I have Uranus opposition Chiron with a 5 degree 2' orb.

  • My father has Sun square Uranus with a 2-3 degree orb.
  • I have Sun sesquisquare Uranus with an 11' orb.

  • Two of my half-sisters, both children of my father, with different mothers, have Venus and Mars in Scorpio (one has them conjunct, the other doesn't).

  • Another of my half-sisters has Mars in Virgo, ruled by Mercury in Aquarius.
  • Her mother has Mars in Aquarius, ruled by Uranus in Virgo.

  • I have two cousins, born to the same parents, who were born on the same day five years apart (I don't have their full birth data - their times, years and locations of birth - so I haven't looked at their charts).

  • My parents' ages, added together, equaled about 68.08 years at the time of my birth, if my math is correct.
