WORLD CUP SOCCER 2002:
The Annular Ring of Power At Gollum's Ball
(or, APO-CALYPSO In YOKOHAMA?)

THE FIRST QUESTION IS, which team will be Pluto? Because, as the Sun passes the Vertex on 30 June, as seen from Yokohama when the final Cup game is played, it opposes Pluto at the anti-vertex forming the axis of an azimuthal Kite pattern. And we already know that France is the favourite Sun.

  Post Comment

But more about this later.

There are 32 nations represented at the Korea-Japan tournament, and 32 national capitals [1] involved with the venue in Yokohama where the final match will be played on 30-Jun-02, starting soon after 15h30 (Japan Time, -9h from Greenwich).

The distances from each capital to Yokohama varies from 507 miles for Tokyo, Japan to 11,535 miles for Asuncion, Paraguay which is about as far away as one can get. The maximum distance is half the Earth's circumference, or about 12,450 miles.

Each capital's distance from Yokohama can be analysed harmonically by dividing it by the Earth's circumference (25,902 miles = 360 degrees). The result can then be treated as a stand-alone list of aspects/harmonics, and/or compared with the planetary patterns occuring during the competition.

In the following list, the distances have been converted into a percentage of the Earth's semi- circumference, and this into a zodiacal angle measured from Zero Aries as Yokohama. (So that all angles are less than 180 degrees).

Lower harmonics are usually considered more potent than higher, as are smaller orbs, and prime/odd harmonics are weaker than even. H16 & H32 are important, and may in a sense be stronger than many lower harmonics, but here there's only one instance of each.

The 33rd Harmonic is also special and keeps intruding in my research.

{On the way home this afternoon, while trying to avert my feet from scuffing a child's nicely chalked hop-scotch boxes on the sidewalk, I began noticing yellow 33s and other markers sprayed at the edge of the road for about half a block. A gas company is at work, I then noticed, installing new lines. But I still don't know why 33 metres should be a favoured mark-point).

In these world soccer stakes, 33 intrudes again uniquely, courtesy of Paris. It's the only capital that resonates with this harmonic, and France is the champion team, having won both the previous World Cup four years ago, and the more recent European championship.

So why did France lose the opening game to Senegal? The second worst team by some reckoners

By distance, Dakar's harmonic (h31) is at bottom because Costa Rica's H32 is more potent as a member of the H16 series, which includes octile (45) to at least the quarter-octile ("quork": 11.5) aspect.

This upset is dramatically reflected in the two eclipses that occur during the games. The path of the solar eclipse on June 10 moves from Baja to Borneo, approximately. Across the full breadth of the Pacific Ocean, linking Worlds Old & New, with Mexico at one end, Indonesia at the other. And the eclipse ends in the general area of Japan & Korea, or at least near their longitudes. However, this event is much more telling when an astro-symbolic geodetic transformation is allowed.

When 90-West is used as Zero Aries, the eclipse centers on 11-West, near Dakar. And when the same geodetic arrangement is used to plot the lunar eclipse of 24-Jun, it falls near the longitude of Paris (2-East). [2]

These two eclipses indicate the pair of nations that were involved in the opener. France was, necessarily, as the defending champion, but Senegal was chosen by lottery, presumably.

That France lost may be indicated by: a)lunar eclipses being weaker than solar, and b) the general effect of eclipses as bringing upsets for the unprepared. Though they can empower those who know how to use them. An annular eclipse is special, moreover, since it presents a circle of fire, a golden ring of power, to whomever can grasp it

Or more simply, France's loss could be related to its harmonic distance from Yokohama (H33) being slightly higher than Senegal's (h31), depite H33 as a non-prime (3*11) being stronger.

To date (04-Jun-02) there have been 14 games played and in most cases the team with the better harmonic distance has won. (Irrespective of astrological factors).

Senegal   1 - France   0  h31 0.63 v H33 0.23 !
Mexico    1 - Croatia  0  h23 0.15   H15 0.12 x
Denmark   2 - Uruguay  1  h23 0.10   h27 0.17 !
Spain     3 - Slovenia 1  h13 0.21   h17 0.28 !
Brazil    2 - Turkey   1  h17 0.19   H16 0.07 x=
Costa R   2 - China    0  H32 0.67   h19 0.23 $
S Korea   2 - Poland   0  h17 0.45   h07 0.08 x~
Germany   8 - S Arabia 0  H09 0.52   H30 0.20 !
Italy     2 - Ecuador  0  H02 2.74   H25 0.32 !
Argentina 1 - Nigeria  0  H12 0.24   h17 0.15 !

England   1 - Sweden   1  h23 0.09   H22 0.21
Japan     2 - Belgium  2  H25 0.25   h19 0.47 x~
Paraguay  2 - S Africa 2  H10 0.65   H10 0.22 =
Ireland   1 - Cameroon 1  H25 0.25   h23 0.06 =

Rule #1: lower harmonic wins {!) except H32 ($).
Rule #2: close harmonics tie (
).

All mismatches save one can be qualified. With Brazil vs Turkey the harmonics are close, but Brazil is by far the superior team. (Much greater superiority in most cases should be the deciding factor). With South Korea vs Poland the winner apparently was able to exploit the home-team boost. And finally Belgium should have beaten Japan, but the game tied also as a result of the home-team effect.

That leaves Mexico's win against Croatia. This probably reflects Mexico's greater superiority, since it is usually ranked in the top seven, but I'm not sure where Croatia stands. It's a new team, part of the aftermath of Yugoslavia's demise.

Overall, we really don't need to apply geographic harmonics or astrology to these early games because there's a clear potential winner in nearly every one of the initial eight groups of four teams playing off. But with eclipses we expect some surprises, and this may be a way to detect which teams are most likely to be affected.

So far there have been only two notable surprises, Senegal beating France the cake-taker, but also South Korea's win against Poland. But how unusual are 2 out 14? (I'll leave that to more serious researchers of this ball & chain craft).

In summary, it appears that in a case like this, with its participants from many different nations -- whose capitals can be used as geo-referents -- converging on a single location to decide a winner, harmonics based on terrestrial distances can act as a guide to competitive outcomes. While astrology can serve as vital adjunct, in certain instances at least.

The key to this kind of prognosis, whether or not astrology or geography is preferred, is harmonics theory, which of course need not be limited to any single discipline or field. It's too fundamental for that.

More interesting than all of this, although all will undoubtedly prove handy, are the prospects for the final game itself -- obscurely alluded to in the title and introductory paragraph of this piece. But that will have to wait for Part 2.

Foot(ball) Notes:

1. Actually, there are 33 capitals because South Africa has two, Cape Town (Legislative) & Pretoria (Official). Or three, if we include Bloemfontein (Judicial). I have used all three to calculate a geographic midpoint as  a 'capital focus'.

2. Penumbral lunar eclipse (PLE) 26-May occurs around 4 degrees of Gemini/Sagittarius. Annular solar eclipse (ASE) occurs around 19 Gemini.

The PLE of 24-Jun occurs around 2 Cancer/Capricorn. Using 90-West as Zero Aries for a longitudinal global zodiac, 4-Gem/Sgr = 26W/154E, in the mid- Atlantic and off the western coast of Japan. This has some general symbolic significance, but not much.

We lost to Brazil once in three over times. Last won the Coppa in '82. C'era bellissmo.
Speriamo bene che sei nel giusto!

WORLD CUP SOCCER 2002
PLAY-OFF GAMES & PREDICTIONS
************************
Using Bookmaker's Odds & Astrology
Saturday, June 15, 2002

The odds are that Italy will win the World Cup by
beating Brazil. This is based on the odds that
were being used on 08-Jun after the first lot of
60 games. The following list shows only the top 16
of 32 teams. The remaining teams had been
eliminated prior to the advent of the finals.

The outcomes of the final games are more
predictable. The first matches were. England beat
Denmark and Germany beat Paraguay.

Expectations are that on Sunday (16 June) Spain
will beat Ireland [odds are now:1.6-5.0] and
Sweden will beat Senegal [2.05-3.2]. The next day
Mexico will win against USA [1.7-4.35] and Brazil
wins against Belgium [1.35-6.25]. Finally, on 18
June, Korea will lose to Italy [4.25-1.7] and
Turkey will likely lose to Japan [2.7-2.3].

In the quarter-finals Germany will beat Mexico
Brazil beats England (21 Jun), Italy beats Spain
and Japan beats Sweden (22nd).

In the semi-finals Italy will beat Germany (25th)
and Brazil will beat Sweden (26th). The final Cup
match (30th) will be won by Italy against Brazil
after Germany beats Sweden (29th) to take third
place.

Astrological considerations concur with the odds
during the "Round of 16" except for two matches:
USA could beat Mexico and Korea could beat Italy.

Dt NAT ODS DHm ORB  GEODETIC TRANSITS
  1. *Mex 050 H32 0.42:LUo7 SOq5 MAt8 JUt1 SAq1.5;PLq5
  2. USA 066 h11 0.06:(VEt10.5) MAc0; NEt2 PLt3
Latest odds are about 3:1 favouring Mexico.

NB: The Distance Harmonic (DHm)and Orb have proven
to be unreliable indicators when viewed alone or
without reference to transits and odds. But they
do tend to indicate upset expectations if they
support transits that also show this possibility.

In the above Mexico/USA match both Harmonics & Orbs
are lower for USA, but the H32 series tends to win.
So, mixed signals here.

The transits, however, are stronger for USA,
especially Mars cnj the geodetic longitude of the
USA capital -- partile [MAc0]. Mexico also has a
Mars contact, but it's a wide 8^ trine [MAt8].
Also, Moon opp Mexico [LUo], Sun wide sqr [SOq5],
Saturn close cnj [SAc1], and Pluto wide sqr [PLq5].
Not good, despite a close Jupiter trine [JUt1].
But overall conjunctions of Mars are often key,
with the tighter orb winning.
  1. SKo 050 h33 0.52: SOt0 SAt1.5 URt1.5
  2. *Ita 004 H04 1.36: MAc1 JUc8
Latest odds are about 3:1 in favour of Italy.

Even though Italy's Harmonic Orb is large, Rome's
distance from Yokohama, (soccer's Grail Site 2002)
translates as a square, the most potent of all
Distance Harmonics in this whole competition.

And Italy has a close Mars cnj [MAc1] with some
support from a wide Jupiter trine [JUt8]. Italy
needs no more to win. But Japan does have close
trines from Sun & Saturn, plus another from Uranus
-- which adds excitement and the possibility of a
major upset.. if the team with home-fans can pull
off a major mind/action meld. This will be another
match to watch.

I presume you checked the theory you have presented here for previous World Cup tournaments.
How did it hold up?  Will you share the results.

Harmonics and dimensions ( none / 0 ) (#1)
by Axel Harvey on Wed Jun 5th, 2002 at 09:04:08 EDT
(User Info)

Interesting approach. Since the UN headquarters, unlike the World Cup, remain in the same place, it might be instructive to calculate the harmonic relationships of all the capitals vs the UN.

...harmonics based on terrestrial distances can act as a guide to competitive outcomes.

I have always wondered if the same might apply to differences in IQ. Why is it that I get along wonderfully with people who are a lot smarter than me, but can't stand the guy who's just a little bit smarter?

It's interesting that you take distances going every which way around the terrestrial globe and reduce them to harmonics along one dimension. I've been fighting for years to get us going in the opposite direction, but, hey, these things go both ways.

Can't comment much more now - got to paint a couple of rooms and argue with the tax man.
